Default Bayou 300 revving?

My wife has a 1991 bayou 300 and when you let off the throttle it keeps revving about 1/3 throttle for about 5 sec. and slowly backs off to normal idle. I checked to make sure the cable isn't sticking and the throttle plate actuator is resting on the idle adjuster screw. Everything is fine there. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

You could also have an air leek between the carb and the head. That will make it reve also.If it popping any when you let off the throttle than that whould also be an air leek.So look at that also.

Default Bayou 300 revving?

Just thought I would let everyone know that I fixed the revving problem. I took the air screw out and the o-ring on it was shreaded, causing too much air to get in through the threads on the needle. Put a new o-ring on it , screwed it out at two turns and it runs perfect. Thanks for all the info guys. I checked all those things first.
