Default Go to a Dealer for tires??

This is just alittle FYI for anyone looking to buy new tires. I took a Dirt Wheels magazine into my local dealer and showed them the pricing that some of the ads had in it on Razr/Raz2 tires. We've all seen them so I won't give out any names. But I was surprised that they were able to match the best price I could find! Granted I have to pay tax, but did not have to pay shipping. Good way to save some money. My dealer by the way is a pretty good sized outfit.

PS..said they should be in by Thurs...I'll let ya know..

Lol, I tried that and they said they could get them in for that price too. I was like awsome, then when he gave me my bill, he charged me for the tires as listed in the mag, and then for the shipping and a 100 dollar dealership fee. Needless to say I do all my own repairs now and I buy my accessories from our local yammy dealer. Sounds bad, but thats how bad our bombie dealer is here

I guess I should have said at the start, this was not a Bomb dealer..it was Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki dealer. But just for kicks, I ask their service department what they charge for tire mounting and they wanted $15 bucks per tire.

I heard wal-mart can to it cheap..is this true..

I go to my local independent repair shop, not a dealer. He carries parts unlimited, and he has never had a problem matching rocky mountains prices. He even make the total price come out to be the list price from the magazine. Everyone needs to push their dealers more. The markup on most parts is 70-100% so they can move quite a bit on price.

No way I'd pay $15 per tire for mounting.
When I got my paddles, I went to a local tire shop to get them mounted to rims I already had. I got four tires taken off rims and two tires put on rims for about $16 total.

I got a set of mudlites on c series for my rancher from a local dealer. he had them in stock and mounted. Got them for about the same as the list price on most of the websites but I also didnt have to pay shipping and I got the center caps and lugnuts too. If you find a good dealer or if you find a set of tires someone ordered and never picked up you can come out ahead.
