I totally wasted my clutch and I am trying to find a suitable replacement. I tore the old one out and it was basically gone! It seems like a lot of people are using stock plates with Ronny's springs. Does anyone know how the barnett plates hold up? There's a barnett kit on alba that sells for around 150 and it includes springs. Are they as stiff as RW's? It doesn't really say how stiff they are. I am gonna order a kit tomorrow so any help would be greatly appreciated!

 

stocks with good springs seem to work fine.

I have the barnett in both my ds i like them I to wasted the stock clutch i am a big guy get the kit that comes with 1 extra plate and springs

So you like the barnett? How much stiffer are the springs? What is the deal with that extra plate?!

 

they are stiffer for sure and require a little more force pulling the clutch lever in. I have had one kit in for a year and i ride hard and i have pulled several quads back to camp

Cool but what about the extra plate?

 

It has a extra friction plate it gives it more surface area to spread the load . there is several in my group that have this clutch setup we have seen no failures

i am running the barnett clutch kit to. no problems. you can get that kit from hpresearch as well. I thought someone said they are 20% stiffer in that kit. not 100% sure though.
