raptor banshee warrior blaster and so on got a name why didnt the 450 get a name?where they in that much of a hurry they forgot to name it?

I guess they thought it was overkill to call it the raptor 450.

 

yea there's already a raptor 660R Raptor350 Raptor 80 and raptor 50

 

Speaking personally, I like the name YFZ450...it gives it a sporty feel.

 

My best guess would be they wanted to really emphasize the "race-ready". The bike which they borrowed the engine technology from is the pure motocrosser, the YZ450F. These high-performance moto bikes never have names. Why should the high-performance motocross quad? I think that's the way Yamaha saw it.
