Does anyone here know of any one who's put a DS motor into a different quad chassis? I think a DS motor in a 400EX chassis would be a rocket.

 

Great Idea!! We have actually been measuring up a cannondale frame for stroker ds motor. Might be stronger than a ex frame.

 

That would be a sweet chassis!!! If you decide to do it, are you going to do it as a drag bike, motor cross, etc?I've seen a few EX's with XR650 motors, so I think it can be done. There's a shop where you can buy a turn key 650EX, but it's over 20K.

 

A complete drag bike w/ as light as possible rotating mass and all. Eyeball engineering down here has been contacted. It may be done by ds days, and it should be torqy and real high comp stroker motor on gas+ whatever else i can add to gas[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]







If it runs like I anticipate I will take the hog to Glamis.

 

That thing is gonna be a monster!!! Do you ever make the drive to Glamis, etc?

 

engines bad in the dales frames heavy on the ds might be worth a thought

 

what about a Raptor frame?

 

put it in a 300ex, or mojave...no one would expect a thing..

I'd like to use the equipment I already have. I have a 2001 EX with aarms, suspension, etc. My DS motor in my EX chassis would be phenominal, especially as a dune bike!!!

 

If you've already got all the parts, I say go for it. Find a good street bike motor to put in the DS frame and you will have two head-turning quads!
