scrambler 400 2 wheel drive

Default scrambler 400 2 wheel drive

i have an 01 scrambler 400 2 wheel drive.on the very back of the transmission on the belt side there is a long bolt.it appears to be an adjustment of some kind b/c it has a lock nut on it. my local dealer cant tell me anything about what it does.it does go into the transmission.can someone please tell me what this part is and what it does.any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you had a few pics these guys can tell you anything you need to know, to me it sounds the bolt that goes from case to case and it's not an adjustment, but i am probably wrong.

the bolt goes from the tranny and stops it from moving by wedging against the frame if you are trying to get it out you loosen the nut thats close to the tranny and then screw the main bolt in.

that bolt is for your tranny drain..

there is a gold like color bolt on the rear left of the tranny,
about 1 1/2 inches long with washer,it is for draining the oil out.

thanx to all who responded!your help was greatly appreciated.at least now i can get some rest and not worry and wonder what the hell that bolt actually does.it gives me a little more time to work on other things....like upgrades...mark
