Just save your money and do cam piston and port and polish. If you just do the cam it won't make that much of a difference, then you will be back in the motor to do the piston and PP later anyway. I know I did it. You will save allot of money in the long run. Play with your gearing it will make more of a difference. JMO

I disagree. A cam was the best mod I did before I started building my motor. I ran a webcam 696/697 and loved it. It was like putting a pipe on, the power increase was great.
Best bang for the buck mod imo.

they are right, if you got the money do it all now(piston and p/p) then do it all now. but if you have a limited budget for the moment then do the cam. If it is a mild cam and doesnt require springs, then the cost is not much you wont spend hardly anything to put it in the bike all you cost is the cam, and you will feel a difference. Just dont go with a big cam unless you do all the mods to go with it

Stage 1 Cam and high compression piston = $300
Port and Polish = $400+ and will not yield near as much power as the cam and piston. Down time sending the head off is a pain too.
