the raptor is a good bike if you like to trail ride. but anything else, look elseware. diesel? only polaris makes 1 diesel atv, and anybody will tell u not to get a polaris..... take a look at the YFZ450, or the banshee, or if u want a atv relic, get a 250r

The Raptor is worth it, but being a owner operator is not. If I was you I would drive for a company, owning your truck is costly. As an accountant I rarely see a owner operator making money, they generally lose money then get out of it. Unless you really know what your doing, and can keep the jobs lined up and the money rolling in, let someone else own the truck and you take a paycheck.

I would have to agree with 04LE. I used to drive for Evergreen feeds. I have never seen an owner operator who does more than barely get the bills paid. Try driving for a bigger company where you can at least get insurance and retirement benefits.

ok thanks, i want to own my own sleeper cab truck, i'll be working for a computer software company for about a year to get some money (the computer company pays 8 grand a month) i want at least 140,000 so i'll need to work there for a few years and i'll deliver goods and heavy equipment for people who need stuff hauled i am facinated with diesels and atvs, but i don't know if i'll have time to ride, maybe i could drive it in my trailer, or in the middle of nowhere, just keep it stored in the trailer you know!

Make sure you got your numbers down before you make a big decision to buy that truck. Have them give you some hard numbers. Talk is cheap and reality bites. 8k a month sounds good, but make sure they are not selling you a dream.
