Default Cast aluminum steering knuckle on 650

The opening where the ball joint goes in is getting wallowed out. I had a welder drill the hole out and reweld it with hard aluminum wire. And it only lasted about 100 miles. Now the other side did it. I am going to have to buy new knuckles since the welds are not helping. This happened with new ball joints also. $118 a piece from ronayers.

Has anyone else had this happen? I have never seen it on the forums before. This winter i will be constructing a double a-arm suspension because this is not something i will be doing every year.
