Looking for belts for an E-ton 90 and an LT80. Are the factory belts my only choice or are there better aftermarket belts?

I only use stock LT80 belts.
For the eton there are others, I'm others can help you more in that area.

Funny fishslab, you keep following me like a bad odor, like a fishslab odor. LOL, just kidding buddy. Seriously, I was thinking the exact same thing about our 93 LT80..... whether I might need a new belt. How do you check them? I was wondering if a stretched belt might be my reason for lack of top end speed? Why are you doing belt on the Eton? That one should be good for a long time shouldn't it? Actually, what problems are you having with the LT80 belt? And how much does dealer want for one?

Our 93 LT80 has the stock belt and it squals when the kids nail the gas hard. I know that with most varible speed belts the sides wear and make the varible part not work as well. Ours in getting rough on the edges. My biggest problem is getting factory parts. There is not a Suzuki dealer within a hundred miles that have parts for the LT's. Right now Suzuki is really slow on shipping parts, for everthing not just the LT's. I have had a new belt on order for about 2 1/2 weeks now and still no word when Suzuki will ship any. I had to wait 5 weeks to get the clutch rollers so I figured the dumb belt would probably take as long. Most aftermarket parts I can get in a couple of days or so.
I don't know if it has anything to do with it, but lately our LT tries to creep when idling. Could the belt being worn have caused something to change in this thing? I was hoping to check it all when I replaced the belt, but I may not be able to wait that long.

Thanks

For what it's worth~~ For TT racing (top speed) I use the most wore out belt I have in the garage!
I'm curious about the parts problem, unless a part is backordered, (only twice now), I order on Tuesday and get it on Thursday/Friday at the latest. My dealer is a small hole in the wall, so no big dealer push at all.
The only difference I can see is that most dealerships don't care about mini's and the ppl (you) ordering the parts. These ppl I deal with know I need stuff with no BS.

Jack I'll trade you my old belt for a new one anytime.lol Warren,it smells fishy in here, lol. I'm not sure of the quality of the eton belt plus I like to keep a spare around anyway. If there is a better quality belt I'd rather run that. On the LT80 I'm just gonna replace for age and maintenance sake.

I have not inquired about the price yet. I was hoping to find an aftermarket supplier first.

yer up kinda late! just checked the website for OEM parts via the google search link. They're $23.70 US/ i think that's around $100 Canuck. LOL. That site is usually based on regular retail dealer pricing. so that's relatively cheap.
