Hello All,

I changed the oil in my Rancher for the first time last night. Should I replace the O-Rings in the filter housing everytime I change the oil? The smaller O-Ring looked somewhat smashed and I wonder how well it is going to seal. Any input???

Thanks,

Chris

I forgot to get an o-ring when I did my Rancher oil change a month ago. So, I just lubed up the old one with fresh oil & put it back on. That was 100 miles ago. No leaks. If you don't have a new o-ring, I wouldn't worry unless you start leaking oil. The next oil change, I will put in a new o-ring.

You should not need to unless it is messed up in any way. If it was slightly mangled, I would replace it next time. But I do not replace mine every time.
