Default How are Kodiaks ?

Hey my dads thinking of selling his Skidoo MXZ 670 for a Kodiak 4x4. Or something like that. He was wondering if one would be good for him. We ride some mudd, trails, roads, and basic yard work. Will it keep up with my warrior ? Thanx Trailblazer
Found a 2001 Kodiak 4x4 w/ a winch and 2100 miles for $3500, good deal ?

for 3500 i would buy 2 of them.

if it has the low range and high range go for it. i heard they are just as fast as the kodiak 450 topping out around 90/kmh or 50mph. depending on tire pressure and all of that other crap.

when they took away the low range range it was a bad idea.

I rented one for work to run our pipeline it had no hi/low and it was junk! When we were done there were bent rims a hole in the belly pan (plastic) from a little stick it was over heating the front grill fell out and when we got stuck it had no power and could barely turn the stock tires and i think it only did around 80km/h but then again its not made to go fast also we were riding very hard and on a really rough trail and beat on them pretty good but they got us home they do have not bad suspension and were easy to ride But then agian iam used to racing quads and this was not one! lol but it was a rental so who cares.

Instead of the Kodiak look at the Grizzly. We owned a kodiak and we had numerous problems with over heating. The grizzly is fast and can do just about anything we put in front if it.
