consentric or non consentric?
#1
I am ordering chain tensioners for 2 friends and I don't know what typ they are. Ones a 1998 scrambler 400 4x4, and the other is a 2001 scrambler 400 4x4. I am almost positive they are both concentric drives but just wanted to double check before ordering

More important concentric means the swing arm pivot point and the front sprocket are in a straight line with eachother. In other words if you were to put a rod through the swing arm pivot point it would pass through the center of the front sprocket. They travel within concentric circles. Which basically means they have a common center.

Which also means that the chain will keep a consistant tention throughout the range of the swingarm, because the rear axle will follow the same radius as the front sproket, thus not loosening and tightening, like my 97' does...
