what would win in a race a raptor or yzf?

 

You could probably seach this topic, but in short yfz both in stock form.

Well, from my actuall experience, I can tell you I believe the Raptor is faster. I had an '01 Raptor, all stock, and one of the guys I frequently ride with has a YFZ. He had a FMF pipe and jets and he would beat me by a quad length about half the time and I would beat him by quad lengh half the time. Really just depended on who got the better take off. But, my clutch was slipping a little and I weigh about 40 lbs more than him. I can't wait to race him on my '03 (no slipping clutch). I don't know the exact length of the strip we raced on, but we would just reach top speed before we had to slow down, about 250 or 300 yards.

 

if you really wanna know, my stock raptor will smoke any modded yfz450!
in REVERSE! oh yea, lol

 

Depends on what phase the moon is and what the tides are doing in your location... And will the race be on Friday or Wednesday? These are all good things to find out before you ask this question in the forums.

 

Are you saying they are close? Because I think they are very close, the YFZ is very immpressive for a 450, I was surprised it even hung with me all those times.

 

Alot factors must be considered with this question, rider weight, type of terrain, but stock for stock, I don't know, everybody either has a modded YFZ or Raptor. I would think they would be pretty even, maybe with the higher reving YFZ, it might pull the Raptor [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/img]

 

mm YFZ would be my choice for a drag, it has one of the fastest accelerating motors, lightest weight, it has the complete package

 

stock dragging? if not, you ant gonna get as much hp as a big 660
