Could anyone tell me what rpm the Big Gun rev limiter cuts out. I have one on order(or should I say back order). And have recently heard it only gives you 500 rpm more if this is true I am going to cancel my order. Which rev limiter would you recommend?

where can you buy the Big Gun CDI ? will it fit on an 03 BAJA

 

yes it will fit on an 03 baja (thats what i have and i have the big gun lol)
im not positive what the BG runs at, but was thinkign 1k over stock Baja limit as well....

all i know is that even with stock rear tires and 14 tooth on the front (only had it like that for the dunes but tested it in grass with 20's) it pulled like a freight train (could probably have skipped 1st/2nd gear lol)
and on dry grass i spun even in 5th gear... i never hit the big gun limiter, but i also didnt let it go past 8500 or so

ya i got mine from marky for 160 shipped because he stopped carrying them due to the whole procom ordeal

 

Does the Big Gun CDI advance timing, or just raise the rev limit? And why are they on back order, and what is this "whole Procom ordeal"?

 

yes it does have an advanced power curve (i cant say i noticed it, but i installed it mid jetting so i may not have felt it right away..)
im not gonna explain the pro com ordeal because i myself dont understand it in its entirety.... but the jist is procom makes the boxes with BG's power curve...and i guess pro com started selling the cdis with BG's power curve for like 100 bucks (the ones u see on ebay) dont quote me because i dont know if that is exact... but i do like my cdi especially for the 160 i paid
