Just purchased a new Prairie 700. Love the bike but wondering if that belt is always this noisy! Real whiny! Does it get better or is that just normal so get used to it? I had a Rincon before this and it was very quiet but couldnt touch the performance of this prairie.

 

Prairies are noisy. Belt and gears noise may get a little better, but not much. You will get used to it.

sorry to say m8 that the whine from these things never goes away..you just have to tune it out..its my biggest gripe(and only 1 i might add)..although my bro's identical 03 doesnt sound half as bad as mine,dont ask me why..

 

OK we addressed this on another forum, the whine is from the supercharger. enough said

Aw thanks so much there Scooter. I think I will get the jet prop and the super charger udjusted! Should I mess with the trim tabs at all? laffing

 

I thought it only occured when you hit the nitrous going into the supercharger?

 

Would you like some cheese with that whine? LOL ANyway, that whining your hearing is probally the KEBC. It is what it is and will always be there unfortunatly. Mine never bothered me though. Happy riding

 

You are the only one that will hear it, your riding buddies could possibly get close enough to hear it, unless they are on a Prairie!
