Bounce's off rev limiter in 5th.

Bounce's off rev limiter in 5th.
Is this normal? I have a trail tech speedo and i do 73 mph (top speed) in 5th and at that speed I am bouncing off the rev limiter, lots of power still there.
All stock 04 DS 650 Baja X.

That sounds about right. You can do 1 of 2 things. The cheaper being to go up 1 tooth on your countershaft sprocket. The slightly more expensive being to change out your CDI for one with a higher rev limit. There are several good ones out there depending on how much you want to spend. The DS is notorious for hitting the stock rev limit. Good luck.
