350X rear axle

well, basically i am wondering about the process of removing the axle. i need some basic steps, and what to watch out for, and any other advice on the right tools to use for the job. we are removing the axle to replace the bearings, so if you wouldnt mind,i could use some more of the above on bearings. thanks for any advice.

Pretty easy. but most of the time you need to expect that you are going to buy more parts! Crap gets froze on, stripped, you find out the rotor is warped, caliper needs rebuilt, ect, ect, ect
Pull the wheels, hubs, caliper, rotor off. With a couple large crecent wrenches take off the axle lock nuts(I think yours are left handed threads)! Pull it out, just that easy........YEA RIGHT!!!!!! most of the time the splines are froze together! use some good penitrating oil and a block of wood and a big hammer! When you put it all back together, either greese all the splines or use anti-seeze on them.
It really is pretty easy, but I think anyone who has done a couple of these knows what I am talking about..
If you are ready to jump into a project like this you really ought to get a book on it.

dont think that i have no idea what to do, i've got a fair bit of experence workin on different things, and i do know what i'm getting in to. i have replaced bearings in several trikes, none with rear suspension, and am wondering what else i have to do with the swingarm, because its obviously more complicated than the others that i have done. we had the dealer change them a while back, but there looser than before now. now which part exactly is left hand thread?

Well sharpie you better watch what you're saying on these forums. brother you havn't even touched the back axle on my trike and you're talking like you fixed it all yourself. all you did is post this stupid forum. and don't be talking like you own my 350x either. you better just stick to your little 200s and 185s and leave my 3 wheeler alone.
