I have a option to buy a DS50 from a friend for $1,000. Is this a good deal. It is either a 01 or 02 and it's in pretty good shape, scratched plastic, etc. Can I get a better deal elsewhere? Is my friend reducing the sale price at all because he's selling to me?

Please help as I don't have any idea, I'm a 2-wheeler and am buying for my son. Thanks.

 

$1000 is great deal... so good i would be skeptical of "too good to be true" clause.... if it is true from a friend and just beat up, than jump on it... if it runs good.. it will forever.. the DS is built bulletproof...
