Yoshimura Titanium Pro Carbon Fiber System
#1
I just got my titanium Pro system with the Carbon Fiber Silencer in as well with the TEC kit for it. Some were wanting weights from the system and what not. Keep in mind, I just got it in today, so I haven't installed it or tried out the power compared to my GYTR carbon fiber silencer with stock or FMF hi-flo header to compare it to. My dad at first thought I was an idiot for paying $1160 CAD $797 for the whole exhaust plus TEC kit and shipping to my door until I opened the package. He's a professional welder for over 10 years now with all his own equipment let alone what he uses at work, and he was really amazed at the quality! I can vouch for myself that I have never seen such a well made exhaust system yet! The welds are imaculate period! The care of the packaging was phenominal, to the point they even put an elastic band on the header flanges to keep them from dangling everywhere! The package came with a really elaborate detailed instructions sheet showing a dyno test with the same exhaust with the straight titanium silencer sleeve which I'm sure is no different in power, just in looks mainly. I don't know what to feed off the graph as it shows the stock Raptor putting out about 42HP stock, which is way too high, and about 36ft.lbs of torque which seems more accurate than the HP. These are peak readings as the graph indicates they reached 46-47HP, and 48-49ft.lbs torque after the install. Keep in mind, this is following the instructions which advise to run with the lid on with two 1 3/4" holes in the lid left carb 150, right carb 155 mains, fuel mixture screw 1 1/2 turns out. I run no lid, full K&N Pro-Designs pro flow kit with outerwears airbox lid cover and a dynojet kit running 158/160 mains with 3 turns out on the fuel screw at just over sea level elevation. Think it's 800ft to be more accurate? I'm not sure if this will satisfy the exhaust system, I guess we'll have to see when I install it. The kit comes with quick connecting springs for silencer to mid pipe, and mid pipe to header collectors. This looks trick and effective and they even give you a tough exhaust spring puller with the kit! Now I have one for my sleds too, thanks Yoshi! I'm just waiting for the carbon fiber heat shields I got off EBay to come in, then I'm putting it on my raptor after I clean it up and put my summer treads back on. The weight of the items are as follows from everything I got in the kit and the TEC accessory adjustable noise inserts as well.
Exhaust itself with no brackets- 5 lbs 10oz
Exhaust hardware- 1.5 lbs
Header alone- 1.5 lbs
Mid pipe and Silencer- 4 lbs 6oz (wouldn't come apart easy, left it together)
TEC inserts- Medium 2oz Small 1.5oz
So that means the whole systems with brackets and bolts and everything you'd need without a TEC inset would be just over 7lbs. I'm sure most exhaust don't measure the weight of the brackets either, so just the exhaust alone was around 5 1/2 lbs. Pretty light! I'm sure it'll save weight over what I'm running now either way! Plus the system looks tight as hell alone and with the annodized spacers they provided as well as the well thought out silencer clamps/mounts! I'm going to take some pics once I get my baja seat in and installed with the carbon fiber heat shields as well.
