Default Raptor handlebars-need to get rid of the bad vibes!

For over a year now I have been putting up with the vibration made by the big 660cc engine in my Raptor. My buddies YFZ with Rental bars is SO much smother, there is almost zero vibration.

Who is running what for handlebars and is the vibration cut down alot? I want to try bars before forking out $400+ for an anti-vib steering stem and clamp assembly.

No much help here, but look on ebay for the antivibe steering stem.....you might get a good deal on one.

Aluminum bars flex more than steel but Flexx handlebars are the best. My elbows hurt after racing a rutted track with lots of downhill braking bumps so I went shopping for new bars. I found a set of Flexx bars at the local stealership for $250, cheaper than online. They are awesome, no hand shock at all.

I think I read some magazine or something and they put silicone in the handlebars and that supposedly cut down the vibration a bit.

Yeah, that actually works. Used to do it on my Harley rigid. Fill the bars with silicone caulk end to end.

The vibration is most noticable at high rpms, which is no big surprise. Pudljumpr has Renthal bars on his YFZ and it is alot better then it was stock. Vibration is not a big deal...until you race for two hours. When the arms start to go numb it is hard to hang on!

Sounds like he is getting a anti-vibe steering stem, clamp, bars, the whole works so I might try his bars on the Raptor.
