Some on should call up Yamaha and tell them to change the Raptor 350's reverse to be like the 660's reverse mechanism. I hate that bulky reverse system on the Raptor 350 and the Warrior.

 

I hear you,i hate the reverse set up.

 

The reverse system isn't that bad once you get the hang of it, just a little finiky trying to get back into forward, Just keep a little foward pressure on the lever and slowly let the clutch out in first gear, that should slide it back in.

 

Are they using the old Warrior reverse?

 

its better than the stupid 300 ex or the older models with reverse i admit it when it wants to it is hard to get in to forward again but if it doesnt go all the way in let the clutch out but pull it in quickly and then do it again that always works for me

I actually love the reverse gear on the warrior. Sure, getting into reverse can be a pain is the a$$, but it's better then the raptors limiter...I would hate that....and I love being able to go into reverse from any gear I want.

It is one of those things that once you get the fine touch for it, it's not an issue.

 

Personally I like the 250ex reverse gear. It is the left hand gear and with oen hand you can push in the bottonand pull back and shift down. Its a fast way and cant tell it there. Honda came out with at least 1 cool thing and that is there reverse gear and the way to get to it

i messed around with the raptor 350's reverse for like 20 miutes and got the hang of it. its pretty easy once you get the hang of it. as warpgis said, just keep pressure on the lever and let the clutch out and it slides in no prob.
