Hi All !

I found this site looking for information about my 2001 raptor. I dont have a repair manual,so I cant look up this question. In the rear of the radiator there is a clear vaccum style hose coming from what looks like the fan. My hose runs up over the top of the radiator and then down by the oil tank filler cap. My question is this a vaccum hose that should be hooked up to a fitting so the fan gets activated ? Or is there another use for this hose and if so can you let me know. Thanks !

I don't have the answer to your question but I know there are FTP's setup that will provide a free Rappy manual to download...anyone know the address??

Great thanks ! May be if someone gets a chance they can go out and look at the fan behind the radiator and locate clear hose coming out the bottom of the fan. Im getting it ready to ride and I dont want to take the chance of it over heating if this hose is needed to operate the fan. Tha online manual would be great also. Also why Im here, I have a rear skid plate whih did not come with a chain guard. Are you supposed to remove the guard from the stock piece or are these available somewhere!

Ok I did a search and found the raptor manual. I answered my own question, its a breather tube for the fan. thanks anyway !

 

where did you find the manual j/w i think i oculd use it!
