Default Headin' out for a 5 day'r !!

Heading out in a few on a 5 day, May long weekend! Don't have all the mods on the quad yet, but have the EPI red secondary spring, shim removed from sec, and a ground wire on the motor. Limp mode has struck once on a dry flat road at 50 mph so hopefully the ground fixes that. The P700 primary spring is backordered, and so is the Dynotek module. Oh well.....lots of mud....lots of beer to be drank. Will post pics Monday night, gang!Read to go.

DaveB; I envy you the 5 day trip. Spent 5 days down in Central Oregon last week, but only got to ride 1 1/2 days in the East Fort Rock OHV area. 110,000 acres and 318 miles of trails, not counting the forest service roads and the jeep and 4X4 roads. Altitude runs from 4,400 to 6,400 feet, my sea level setup machine was ok at 5000 ft and below and wanted to load up at low speed or idle above that. Will rejet for next time. Will be going back when I am healthy enough to really ride. Have a great time.

I would settle for a 2 day trip and love a 5 day. I usually only get out for a day at a time.

Do you carry extra gas with you or do you buy it on the way? (while riding) If you carry, how much do you take?

Dave B; I have liked the "Bones heal" line ever since my wife gave it to me while I was laying in a hospital bed recovering from an encounter with a deer while riding my old 750 Honda. Then the line from the daughter was "can I have your other bike if you die?" I gave up the street bikes and have taken up quads as when the knees don't work I don't fall over.

That quote comes from the biggest bike-nut ever: Evel Kneivel.
