Polarisman3,
Don't feel bad, I've noticed the same thing. I'll ride for several hours and it never budges off of full. It's the same as you, I'll check the tank and its half empty. You would think when Polaris decided to add the fuel gauge feature they would make sure its accurate. What good is it otherwise? I haven't heard anything from any other forums about a fix yet but I'll keep my eyes open.

To be honest, I've never seen it come off of full except when I picked it up new. And thats because they only put about 3 oz. of gas in it! It kinda makes you miss the old reserve system. At least then you knew when you had about a gallon left.

On mine once it gets off of saying full, it starts to go down more like it should. However that tank goes down alot deeper than you can see. My gauge does let me know in time when I am about out of gas. When it starts to flash "FUEL" you are on "reserve". I have plenty of time to get back to base when it does this, for others this may be a problem. My EFI went 13 miles on "reserve" I would not test it past that. Once your gauge gets off of full it should start to go down like it should, so just give it time. Once you get some more hours on it, you will see more of how it acts. Just one more thing to get used to in life.....lol.
