Default All Kinds of Problems -- Mechanic Ram-Rodded Me!!!

Last January, I took a HORRIFIC nosedive off a 9' dropoff that totalled my '03 P650. I got catapulted about 30 feet from my baby (she must TRULY love me to sacrifice herself to save my reckless @ss!), and ended up twisting the frame. Insurance company (don't ride without it!) decided it was about $3,000.00 cheaper to rebuild Big Red than to buy me a new '04 P700 (I know...I shoulda took the $$$ and the mods, and started over anyway!), so I took it to a guy my chiropractor recommended. DOH!!! IT TOOK HIM 3 MONTHS TO REBUILD BIG RED, AND HE DIDN'T DO HALF THE SH!TE HE SAID HE DID!!! ARRRRRGH!!!

So I was finally reunited with Big Red II, and went riding for the first time last evening. About 5 miles after the blacktop ends, the 2WD/4WD on the display started shifting back and forth. KEBC right? So my buddy tries to reset it by unplugging/replugging the stock CDI. The belt sensor light comes on. So I try to reset the belt sensor by switching the black and grey 5-pin connectors. WHEN I TUGGED LIGHTLY ON THE BLACK CONNECTOR, IT CAME OUT OF THE CHASIS COMPLETELY!!! I thought I tugged a little too hard at first, but the wire ends were CLEARLY cut! With no way to reset the CDI, I had to ride home in Limp Labia Mode!

LORD KNOWS WHAT ELSE I'M GOING TO FIND OUT ON THE TRAILS!!! WHAT A CHOACH!!!

Meanwhile, I have no idea how I'm going to reset the belt sensor switch. I thought I'd try to reconnect the black 5-pin connector, but all the wires are the same color (black with grey stripes). What is the black connector for anyway? I'd love to replace my CDI with a DynaTech, but that won't be here 'til end of June!
