Default jetting delima, part 3

So I slapped in 160 rear 155 front. It now stumbles really bad down at low rpm. Could barely take off. Put on the choke and it helps alot. So I use this method and slow driving to get to where I can test more.

Test 1:

Ram Air Tubes both unblocked
Take off at low RPM unbearable
Bad power up at the higher RPM
Spark plug looks the same, lol.
Can't wheelie at all.

Test 2:

Ram Air Tubes, 1 block with a dish towel, 1 open
Take off at low RPM is way way better
Stumbles at higher RPM, pull dish towel at while flying down the road and it has OK power, not great but better.
Spark plug looks the same in the middle and the little top thing, the base of the plug above the threads are black.
Can wheelie almost like before.

Test 3:

Ram Air tubes are no longer getting forced air, I moved them behind the hood.
Take off is better than test 1 but not like test 2.
Not sure if there is a stumble at higher RPM or not, if there is its not bad. The power is not great, not as good as teset 2.
Didn't check plug, I don't think. hehe
Can wheelie but nothing like test 2.

So my take on this is I am still lean all around with my air tubes both open. With one plugged I am lean down low and rich up top. Makes sense to me. I did try both of them plugged and it didn't run worth a hill of beans.

So my next test will be 165 rear, 160 front. Helix is sending me some jets, what a good guy he is. This testing is all done with my stock air filter. Once I get my K&N I'm going to need to jet up again......maybe. See I plan to put an outwears on each of my intakes to block water, sand, mud, etc. This may restrict some air and may not force me to jet up.

I have a question though. With RAM air and carbs, the faster you go the more air is forced into the airbox and the leaner you get. I suppose if I jet a tad rich I won't have a problem with this. Do you think this is what I should do?

Fixed the airbox back up, removed my air hoses and put in my 145 rear 140 front and it pulls like a bat out of hell.

I will be going with 1.5" hose now and once I get everything else and bigger jets I will try my ram air again.

I did this because its a long weekend, its supposed to be warm and I haven't been for a ride in a few weeks.

I must be real lucky, cause I haven't had to rejet, even after the DAJ, and the CDI, airbox mod, and Supertrapp. It runs like a raped ape at all RPM's! I would just mess the jetting all up, anyway, so I'm glad it's OK. What did it do with the stock jets?

Stock jets would make me way way lean. I had ram air snorkles, extreme air box mods. I got it running great for the weekend, thats all I care about right now. I need to make better ram air snorkles anyway.

At what speed does the ram air start to have a noticeable effect?

I'm not talking RAM air like on a sport bike or a sports car. Its just a name I used to call my modifications. Maybe I should call it forced air snorkles, yah thats a better name.

I didn't have a GPS to test at what speed it takes affect but if I had to guess, 40 mph. I just need bigger jets and I need to redesign my hoses.
