Yeah I would go with the raptor too, a 416 kit on a 400 isn't gonna make it gain 8-9 horsepower to catch up to the raptor

416ex vs. stock raptor on 1000 ft drag

the 416 kit alone won't do much for a 400 motor, the larger bore works in conjunction with a freeer flowing exhaust and intake system, as well as a hotter cam to completly change the characteristics of the motor.
