I am curious about starting to race cross country/hare scrambles. Wondering if anyone has tried it? If so, what kind of mods (if any) does your quad have. Remove racks? Wheels & tires?
What class did you have to run in?
Is the Recon competitive?
I wouldn't expect to win, but would like to be competitive on my Recon.
I don't have the money for a sportier quad any time soon, so that is not an option for me.

I'm sorry i don't know if anyone races a recon but it would be fun. i have a bayou 220 with 22x11x10 turftamers they work extremely well in loose dirt. I also have a dyno jetkit which helped a little but not much. good luck

 

I race motocross on my recon in the utility class. my only mods are a K&N filter w/ outerware powerwise. and yes a recon is competitive, it might not be at XC because Ive never tried it, but on an MX track I can beat almost any utility quad and can keep up with most stock blasters.

 

thought you had a supertrapp and stuff also thumper?
