Default 13 is sooo much better than 12.....teeth.

I recently made a topic about my quad not running right and some guy on a stock warrior with stock everything even tires, he could go up a pretty steep hill faster than I. Well I have my current mods, and now I went back to a 13 tooth front sprocket, and I can fly up them in 2nd gear now...before, with the 12 tooth, it would scream in 2nd, and in 3rd it would bog....now, it doesn't scream in 2nd with the 13tooth., it just accellerates pretty fast and nice and smooth and its awesome.

Now, some people told me to check my jetting. I drilled 4 inch holes in my airbox and covered it with aluminum mesh.....and it runs alot better then it did.

And, I felt no loss in torque at all....It just feels the same on torque just it doesn't top out at 50mph.....its now prolly around 65-67. ....It rocks on trails too....not so much shifting like I had to witht he 12 from constantly having to shift up and down and up and down...now second gear is fine most of the way....I will enver go back to a 12tooth.

Later again,

i dont think one tooth is going to make that much of a difference. (unless u were just kidding) it might go that fast but one tooth wouldnt drop it down to 50 mph from 65mph.

is it a good idea to keep the 13 tooth sprocket when you are going to put 22x12-9 Kenda Bearclaws or should I go down one tooth?

The top speed wasn't 50 before, it just felt like that. It was probably about 60, and now its around 65.

And it all depends on what type of riding you do man. If you do trails constantly....lol, again its up to you.

One tooth makes a huge difference, dood. Especially on the countershaft! Try it, you'll see.

12 - 13 tooth ? The warrior is geared to low stock, I ran a 15 - 40 on my warrior. i did have more mods though.
Just for fun try out a 14 tooth i think you will like it.

12 to 13 is a little under a 10% increase in top speed. probobly around 8%. so say the top speed before was 50 mph (just to make the math easy) the new top speed would be 54mph. if the top speed before was 60 then i think the new top speed would be like 66mph. But remember thats like a 10% decrease in acceleration
