today i adjusted my vavles on the big bear. At first the big bear had a slight ticking so i thought i should adjust them. well i put the intake at .006 and we left the front cause it was good. we put the cover on started it up and it just ticked really loud. we tried about 8 other adjustment. it still ticks not to bad but atr the top end it doesn't run right. what have i done wrong. need to get it fixed before this weekend for our big ride PLEASE HELP ME

Well it might not be your valves. You might want to take a look at your cam chain, take the cover off and look to see if the chain is stretched out, or if there is a excessive amount of slop in the the chain. This some times will cause the problem you are having and no amount of valvle ajustment will correct it.....

Make sure your not adjusting the valves at the top of the exhaust stroke. If the clearance on the exhaust valves were good that's probably not the case but you never know.
