if the dude on the pred. knows how to shift good...its pretty tought to beat....you should get a clutch kit on that 700...and you might stand a better chance against him.

Ive heard preds are pretty quick. You may get him off the line, but through the gears, he will reel you in and pass you.

Carry a baseball bat and hit him, or a nail gun and shoot out his tires......

We were at the races yesterday and there was a stock V no pipe, a stock rappy no pipe, and a Pred with pipe. My cousin ran my wifes Z "piped" and won the class. The V and Pred were extreamely close and the Rappy was close as well. I am not sure exactly who finished where but the times on the V pred and Rappy were all around 6.2, 6.3. The Z turned out one 6.0 and the rest of his runs were on the 6.1 mark. This is in a 300ft run, but I will have to say that you should have a VERY close race.... Good luck. I know the Rappy did run one run at a 5.8 and I think the Pred had a few runs that went just under the 6.0 mark as well. Just wasn't as consistent as what my cousin was running though.

fasterblaster0102...

I have some first hand experience with this one. Soon after I bought my V, my cousin bought a preddy. In a race between the 2, the preddy would win by a little. Soon he bought a pipe and it was not even close anymore. By the time he hit the top of third gear, he was gone. I got tired of losing badly to a bike that was 200cc's less than mine, so I bought dual pipes and a complete Dalton clutch kit. Now the tables are turned and the little Preddy doesn't stand a chance. My cousin's talking about getting a big bore kit. He doesn't like having to eat dirt.

Shouldnt something that is 200cc's bigger NOT have to have more mod's to win? not bashing but I just wouldnt be too proud of saying that I had to buy a dual and clutch kit to win..... again NOT putting down the 700 but why didnt they already put in a higher perf clutch kit? Its not like it'd have costed them much more if any at all.
