Default Honda Recon 250

A buddy of mine bought a 2002 Honda Recon 250 and wanted to know if there's a governor on this quad. If so, where is it?

The reason I was asking is so we could utilize the governor and let a couple younger kids ride it...

I used to own a Recon, but I can't remember if it had a throttle limiting screw on the thumb throttle assembly or not, the LT80 my son rode before that had one, and almost all Yamahas have it, so check that out, it will limit how far the throttle can be opened. If not, it would be real easy to drill and tap a hole, put in a bolt with jam nut, and set it up to run slower with kids on it. The Recon is a great quad for kids/ intermediate riders, my son loved his until he gave it up for a 300ex. He still misses the fender protection every time he hits a puddle !!!
