i was looking on ebay and seen the procom cdi's, they are like 100 bucks and say it increases the rev limiter by 1000rpms. are they any good? or are they just some cheap company trying to rip people off? thanx.

Pulled well, deffently can use the extra 1000 RPM, I wrote awhile back that my Rectifier went poof, so I never got to see any results, Pro com replaced it with out any problems, and looking at the the replacement it looks if they found the problem, so I might pop it back on next weekend.

I thought that the rev limit on the DS CDI by Procom was 8500. Actually, I'm very positive it was. That would be 800 RPM over the early model, and 500 over the Baja/Viper/Baja X models

What exactly do you mean by backlashing? Does it sound like a grinding. What is it doing to the engine.
If that is what it is.Then it only happens when it is cold and stalls.Anybody else have this problem?
