Hey all last weekend me and my step dad went to visit one of his old friends and he had a trailer with an old polaris ATV frame in it. We brought it home and I put it together, everything was there )frame, plasics, wheels, tires, axel, etc) The only thing missing was the chain and the engine. Even the CVT transmission was in it. Anyways, I think it may be on old trailblazer, but I dont know how far the blazers went back. One of the plastics says 250 on it so I know it came with a 250. Also it had the CVT tranny. And of course it says polaris on the sides so I know its a polaris. The plastic is white and the front where the light is is purple. It about as long, wide, and tall as a banshee. It has nothing that says what it is (trailblazer, trailboss, etc) If you need to know anything else to figure out the year just post it. ONe way or the other, we are gonna put an old Yamaha DT 250 engine in it. (we can make it fit)

i'd bet it is a Trailboss 250. 1990ish. i used to have one. It has a pretty big headlight, but is built into the hood. the seat gets wide at the back, its a weird looking seat. i have pics of it, i could scan them on if you want them

 

it could be as early as a 1985or6 i think. mine didnt have any stickers that said "Trail boss" or anytihng. it just sadi "Polaris" and "250" on the sides of the headlight.

 

Yea the headlight is big, and it says nothing about the model on it side, just "polaris" and "250". The seat is pretty short and wierd looking. It also had mud flaps off the back fenders. But the owner of this one shaved the font fenders off.

 

Yea if it not to much trouble I would like to see those pics of the one you have.

 

thats exactly what it is! a trail boss 250. mine had mudflaps that stuck out a little bit, they are ugly, but boy did they work! lol

10th digit of vin is year of manufacture, you know it isnt 2000 plus so gues on the 80 s or 90 s. peace!!!
