This is a question for anyone who hunts and fishes and rides for their favorite passtime.
I grew up riding dirtbikes and atvs.It was my first true passion and has grown almost into an obsession. As I grew older, around the age of twelve,I became fond of a new type of outdoor activity: Hunting and Fishing.
As years past I spent more time in a treestand or a creek than on a bike.Don't get me wrong, I still rode a lot,but not as much as I did in the past.
Here is My problem. This time of year I start to feel guilty when I go riding on Sunday, instead of scouting for deer.If I'm fishing after work,I feel guilty for not riding with my buddies.Does anyone else feel this way?
When late September rolls around,I park my 250R until January after the season is over but sometimes I'd rather be roosting through the woods than sitting in my duck blind.
I guess I am lucky to have the opportunity and option of doing both. And thank God for that.

No. It's more fun trying not to kill yourself on a bike than to kill a poor defenseless deer.

Yea,,, Andrew.

I heard that "Deer" talked you in to buying him some beer, smokes and a couple slim jims.

That was for after the ride,,,, Right?

Actually riding with the deer is kind of a pain. It takes forever to get that helmet on over his rack! Plus he is always telling me to vote for Gore. He says no-one needs guns anyway...

join the two sports like i do. chase the animals with the quad until you hit em. then your hunting and riding at once ;-)
or try to crush fish in the water

i used to go fishing alot (as we have a pond) but i find myself more often with my 300ex and recon in the pond than a line and hook. I feel the same. But I'll get to hunting and fishing when the time comes.

While out riding the other day, a friend and I were hi-speeding down a heavily wooded gravel road, a deer jumped out of the woods and my friend hit it.

My point????

Ride fast enough and you may get to enjoy both your pastimes....

I like to scout for archery season on the quad. Then during the season, I install a bow rack on the quad. I ride to my treestand myself. Then on the good days, being an animal lover, I give a deer a lift out..... strapped across the back rack!
ccarp1, what was that about a poor defenseless deer? And you are from Texas? I take it that you were joking. Right.
