Everything I've read says it will be hard to beat. Like a 400EX on steroids.

I hope its a handful in the woods! Or else im going to be disappointed! j/k No but it does sound like it is a very fast 4-stroke with a very forgiving suspension/chasis! Sounds good to me im ready for mine!

I think it should be awesome in the woods. I know that reverse gear will be my best friend in the woods. In fact the reverse gear is enough all by itself to make me want to buy one. I ride in heavy woods and do alot of exploring without any trails at all and I grow weary of getting off my Banshee to yank it around all the time. Maybe I'm lazy, whatever, I want my recreation to be fun. I don't like the slow handling, heavy weight, and massive sive of the utility quads and 4X4's, so I want a sport quad for the woods. If I were to buy a Raptor I would probably go down one tooth on the front sproket also. This would probably put the gearing down where I like it. I personally don't need to go 80mph on a quad, so I gladly give up some top end speed for more grunt on the bottom end. Just my opinion.

If you go by the ATV Action review that was just summed up by one of the guys on this forum, it makes it appear that the Banshee has more low end allowing it to get a tremendous holeshot on the Raptor.

This is getting a little frustrating with all the mixed reviews. I'm ready to get mine and be done with it!

They don't nesacerrily mean it has more low end, it just means it accelerates better from the a stop. Low end really isn't a factor in drag racing, even at the start cuz the revs are always high.

And really, i'v read all the reviews and there not really that diffrent. They all say it handles great with suspension just as good as the 400ex and has very good power. What do u mean when u say all the reviews are soo diffrent? Ofcource there not going to be exact, but for the most part they seem pretty close.

Yeah but if you also read they did the drag race on PAVEMENT!Whats up with that? These arent cars! And if you read you would see that they did this so the banshee would have a chance. They said if they did the test "the raptor would've ate the banshee alive".That is what they said cuz the banshee would just spin everywhere!
