I bought my 2003 Raptor last May and I have not done anything to it. I raced a new 450 yfz modified and he left me by about 10 or more 4 wheeler lenghts. Should I go ahead and drop me a few grand in my Raptor or trade it in on the yfz?

 

all depends on your riding and what you want to do and how mcuh you will spend.

 

We have lots of dirt roads where we live. Just riding on dirt roads. We also ride down to the river where there are lots of sand and a lot of bad *** atv's. One of which was this yfz. They do like to drag race at the river on paved roads and dirt roads. There are no race tracks. I just want something that can run like the yfz that I raced. Can I modify my Raptor where it can out run the yfz in a drag race? I do not mind spending a couple of thousand on mods or I will trade in my Raptor and get the yfz, which will probably cost of me another couple of thousand to boot.

 

i hate to say this but get a cannondale..... or a ds those things r MUCH faster

 

the DS can barely out run the Kawasaki 700. My stock Raptor out run the 700 like it was tied. No way I would buy the DS. As far as a Cannondale is concerned, I do not buy from companies that are bankrupt. I will always stick with Yamaha, I just want the fasted machine for the $$$.

 

the DS is faster then a raptor man... as far as mods go check out 14mins.com then go to Craycraft Racing...

 

Man, I will smoke that big ole DS 650 bout like I would scorch that little 400ex. I am talking about Yamaha not the other crap.
