Can I get better performance from just a clutch kit and jetting?

What I am asking is if I will see a significant gain in bottom end/take off of my Trail Blazer? I don't really want to put a pipe/silencer on it I'd just like to gain some umph off idle.Any help?

I had an EPI clutch kit on my quad and it was great for low end and acceleration. Really worth the money.

The stock pipe on the trailblazer s@#ks. So your best beat is to get a pipe and clutch kit. BUT, if you are on a budget then just a clutch kit will give you a fair amount of low end.
Try HPD or Hotseat for just a clutch kit!!!!!!!!!

I had the dealer install a Erlandson clutch kit on my 99 Sportsman. It was a rip off in my opionion. The parts with labor was around 230 dollars. It raised my engagement speed some and took me thru the power band a LITTLE better.I sure expected more for my 230 dollars though.====Bill

I just picked up my buddies TrailBlazer about an hour ago. We dropped it off to have an HPD pipe and clutch kit installed. The thing wheelies with ease now, and its topend is much faster than before. I think it was the best thing he could have done to it. Sounds cool as well.

Go with the HPD. The difference is astounding.
As for the jetting, ONLY if the jetting is off, will you realize any gains in horsepower

I'm surprised Bill. On my Xplorer the kit made a night and day difference! Maybe the kit is less efficient on a SP500???

Xplor,
you know the debate thats going on with the heel clickers kit in another forum? If for some unknown reason the parts still have'nt made it in, in a few more weeks,I may opt to go with the EPI kit.I'll ask you for some part numbers if that happens.Im glad to hear it works out well on the Xplorer. It sure was utter disappointment on the Sportsman.====Bill

Bill, give HPD a call, they'll get you taken care of.
