Default Raptor sputters and backfires

I have a stock 04 Raptor. I fired it up today and played round in my field and it ran fine. Then a few hours later I fired it up again, it ran fine at first, but then it started acting up. When I take off it chokes a bit like it doesn't have enough gas. When I rev it it revs kinda rough and sometimes backfires. Could old gas cause this? I know my valves are ready for their first adjustment, can this be a factor? Also, I disconeccted my P-brake sensor and all that junk, I will check the wires to make sure that isn't the problem, can you think of any other things that might cause my bike to act this way?

Thanks in advance for any and all info.
