Default Counter balance disassembly question

I'm just about to start putting the engine back together, '94 400. I got new bearings for the counter balance & I'm trying to figure out how to get this gear seperated from the weighted part so I can install new bearing. I tried checking the diagrams but couldn't tell if its screwed on or keyed/pressed. Thanks for the info, Justin

It's pressed on. I changed mine, just mark the parts for realignment and press it off.

Default Counter balance disassembly question

When i had my lower end rebuilt they modified the counter balance area. Not sure how but they said they remove a "wall" in the cavity and this increased the amount of fluid it will hold. just an FYI

Default Counter balance disassembly question

Just had the gear & bearings pressed off. I'm in the process of finding someone that can get me that bearing. I emailed a bearing surplus shop off ebay but they haven't gotten back w/ me yet. I'm going to go check the case to see what wall you might be talking about. I still haven't looked into making HD engine mount setup.
