I ride fast trails / Enduro style riding and was wondering what is the best combination front & rear sprockets. Stock 01 Raptor w/ 22's on the rear.

What gives the best hole shot?

What gives best top end?

 

I tried a couple different set ups and found a 13 and a 42 were my favorite. it gives you a little more out the hole and dosen't take too much of top end away.

 

With a stock motor, 12/44 and 22" tires was awesome in tight trails. With 18" tires, 12/40 was about the same. A stock motor won't pull 22" rears at 13/40 very well but it's probably your best gearing for top end. If you go to a 686, add a tooth to the front. If you go to a 730, add two.

 

I use 12/44 for trail ride works great for me. Did notice a big lose of top speed either
