Sad news. After only 210 miles my '03 Rubicon died today. Motoring down the gravel, it gave up the ghost with a nasty metallic rattling. Sounded like the tranny piled up but after I rolled to a stop I tried the starter and while it will turn over, it seems to have no compression. I bought it in August, but fortunately, I did something I rarely if ever do. I bought the extended warranty. Figured it was money down the drain. After all, my 1993 300 4x4 never spent 24 hours in the shop in ten years. Hope it doesn't take too long to fix. We are using them abut every day on the farm. Maybe I could get a new 450 as a loner. Hey, I can only hope.
p.s. This is far from common isn't it? If not I'll buy another Honda model.

 

In 210 miles for a Honda to die? That is WAY out of the ordinary, believe me.
