was going to trade my scrambler for a 03 predator tuesday,so i took it for one last ride over to haspen acres,it was gettin late so i figured i would it the track 1 more time,came down off the jump and the right side snapped clean off at thehub didnt crash but was bummin,wheres a good place to buy axle,seals,bearings and a new chain/sprockets

everything you need can be bought here..the axle alone is like $170

 

i am a true polaris fan, and i hate to knock them.

but i have 2 buddies that bought '03 400 trail blazers brand new last year. within the first 6 mo's they both broke their axles, right next to the hub, on the right side. not at the same time though. the first one to break, the dealership would only warranty the part not labor. but when the other buddy did exactly the same thing and put up a fight, the dealer paid for everything.

just makes me wonder if they had a bad run of axles in '03. because otherwise i have never even heard of broken polaris axles.

either way, i would go to the dealer you bought it from(if you bought it new) and pitch a bitch about it who knows, you might save some money.

ive broke 2 axles on my 02 scrammy 400 and my buddy has broke one on his 02 scrammy 500..the axles are weak and the machines are heavy,when jumping that doesnt make for a good combo..

 

I have ridden and jumped my machine hard for 3 years now with zero axle problems. I guess I'm just lucky [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

 

yeah, i have a 96 sport 400 and I havnt had one broken axle ...... it seems like it must be the newer style quads have a little bit weeker axle like scramblerxrated said .... but if you get the cahnce look on ebay ... is your caliper and disk allright? ... anywayz austin
