wolvy right for me?
#1
I am looking at the 04 wolverine.
I live in S. California in high heat and sand conditions.
My real queston is how do the wolvys do in the dunes?
I need the 4x4 for climbing rocky Mountain terrain and pulling
a trailer through sand when I deer hunt.
But I also want something I can rip up the rest of the
year while im not hunting. Since deer season is only a couple weeks.
I was originally looking at the bruin.
But it has no fun factor.
Please can any wolverine owners out there specially in cali help me?
Thanks

if you get a wolvy and want to 'rip it up', better get the 424.....
if you want to use it as a huntin quad, better keep the stock pipe on it....
as far as sandy conditions go...im not sure about that, better get some duners in on that one..
the wolverine is an overall 'good' quad.....fast, but not the fastest...good mudder, but not the best (it is fairly light though <-easy to pull out)....sporty enough....but not a banshee or rap660....like i said, it is a good quad,
i love mine!!

Thanks for your time.
I will never encounter mud as it dont rain much in
the desert. The wolverine I looked at was a 04
and they installed the 424 already.
I live about 80 miles from Glamis so I would like
to take it there.
Has anyone from dune country seen or rode a
wolverine?
Also how do they take the heat?
It gets up to 120 here. I will not be riding when it is that hot
but heat is a major factor in my riding.
Thanks for everything.

TY, I have been interested in the 365 for my wolverine also. Could you tell me a little more about it. what kind of torque gains? How much for the bore job? I am either going with the powroll 365 or just going with high comp. piston and cam. I would appreciate it if you would let me know how you like the kit. I am not a mechanic but do most of my own work. Is getting this kit together mush of a hassel. thank you for your input on this matter.

The 4 wheeler was really gutless in the mud before the bore and pipe. I really dont have any numbers on gains but It has a ton more torque, I can pull out other stuck wheelers no problem and really toss the mud....if you want to know more please email me. One more thing is I do have the 424 unlocker and that really made it into a all around fun quad....honestly it more fun and almost as fast as my grizz.

Psycho,
I have ridden my 95 Wolverine in two dune areas, Silver Lake in Michigan, and Little Sahara in Waynoka, Oklahoma. Back then, it was bone stock, and did fine, climbed hills with no problems, pulled some pretty good jumps, and was a lot of fun. With a 424, the fun factor would be a lot better, being able to whip the back end around, and 4x4 for deep spots. A few engine and exhaust mods would make it even more fun. I have had my Wolverine all these years, and have looked at other quads to replace it, but until they make one that can be a great " do all " sport/trail/work quad like the Wolverine, I'll be driving mine a long time.

havent been in the dunes with mine but Ahmen to what 95wolv says. I got my zilla and its fun but im sellin it and ill continue to buy some clasic 2 strokes but that wolverine I have is staying in my garage for a long time. I bought it new and I have yet to get tired of it. i can take it anywhere and play with any type of quad that I come across. There really is nothing like it.
