Never rode a quad but want a Predator
#1
I have never rode a quad but from all that I have read I like the Predator 500. I am 34 years old so I dont plan on taking up racing. I live in So. Cal. so it will be mostly used for trails and desert riding possibly a little snow in the mountains. I have looked at the Suzuki Z400 and was not convinced. My budget is about $5,500 so I wont be adding any mods for about a year. My question is: Is this to much Quad for a first time buyer or will I be able to ease into it. All comments and suggestions are welcome both positive and negative. Thankyou to all in advance

I think it would be a very good quad for you. I'm 16 years old and this quad is just enough power for me. And I think you'll like it. Their never really can be to much power. Just because you have it all doesn't mean you have to use it. The predator is a very relaible quad, very easy to work on, and very manueverable(sp). I love this quad and I think you'll love it as well.

I thaught about buying a used one first but was worried. I dont know alot about them and was leary about getting ripped off. plus the used ones dont seem to be that much cheaper than the new ones.

ok you should fit the pred pretty good then...I have heard alot of the taller 6 foot + guys have complained about hitting thier knees on the plastic or something like that...it sounds like you would fit it fine...and welcome to the forums
