Default Anyone run the standard holeshots?

I asked this on another thread, but I know the Yamaha forum probably gets the most hits in a day.... I know the popular choices lately have been Kenda Klaws, and Holeshot XCR-03's, but does anyone run the standard holeshots? They're alot less $$ than the XCR-03's...... What are the differences between the holeshots and the holeshot XCR-03 other than the diagonaled shoulder *****?

i just got a pair of the regular ones but when you order them make sure u order a size smaller than you think you want b/c even 20s on a blaster look huge i think the only other difference is like the mx holeshots have a more rubbry tread for more traction. something like that

if u look at my pics you can see how big they look

I think the difference is the PLY and rubber density. I have XCRs and they outlasted a friends Razors that looked almost identicle.

MX are 2 ply
XCR , ATV AC are 6 ply

The post above is correct...the regular hole shots are thinner walled and lighter.

MX tyres are 2 ply front and 4 ply rear
XC tyres are 6 ply
strength equals weight

The biggest thing I was in question of is whether or not the XCR's got any better traction than the standard Holeshots? Anyone?

I put standard Holeshots on my LT about 10 years ago, still got them on and never had to plug 'em, they always hold air. Good tires.

Only dislike is that they suck in mud and sand, but they hook up great in dirt....I did 78mph on a dirt road with these tires and stock gearing, and later did 80 on pavement, so they hook up pretty good.
