Is Recon worthy of IDS2; Power Kit?

 

Every one is telling me that IDS2 is junk. So I wouldnt go with it.

 

I would check out the IDS2 post here on the HOnda forum. The general consensus is that its a good pipe.

 

yes the recon is worthy of the IDS2 and NO it is NOT junk people just think you have to spend 400+ bucks to get a good pipe....... not true DIRTRASH i would still get the IDS2 cause i have NEVER heard of a problem with them on the other hand ive heard of FMF shooting the allen bolts straight out the cap riping all the threads and BUNCHS of e seris's breaking the silncer mount....

 

I bought a Ids2 for my 300ex........... had it for one week blew all the insides out all the allen bolts and ruined the threads i even destroyed all the discs and end cover.

I bought a IDS2 for my 300ex cause of all the good things I heard from about it. The only thing I can say is that it is soooo F***ing hard to put together. The megaphone did not want to go on the headpipe at ALL!!! After I got my dremmel tool out, and bent the flanges several times, it finally went on. Then I put the silencer onto the megaphone and I had an exhaust leak. I COULD NOT get it to stop. I tried everything. Finally I tried tightening it so hard I broke the clamp. I just sent it back to rocky mountain atv to look at it. ARRGHHHHH

 

Ya Damm right the recon is worthy of the IDS2 I put one on my recon and now it goes like a freekin squerrel with a rocket up its A$$.
It really helped the acceleration and lower end power. I have not got stuck in one mud hole since I put it on.
All u Recon owners out there please listen to me you have to get one it really helps the bikes performance a lot.
Recons are just as worthy of mods as any other bike is out there. Im gonna mod the crap out of mine!!!!!

were did you buy it and how much? i need some more POWER for my tires
