If the 700 twin is coming in October, is the 500 HO Sportsman a build out left over model? Will it be dropped from the lineup when the 2000 parts are used up? Polaris does have a pattern of doing this. What do you think? Will the Magnum 500 then become the collector of older parts after the 500 HO is gone?

I think they will stick with it anyway. Not everybody wants a 700...intimidating for some... And it's an improved 500...why not?!

Polaris will keep the 500HO, its sales are good. Not everyone will want or can afford a new quad every year. If sales were slow on the SP500 then I would say "yes" they would drop it.

HOWEVER, there are guys out there, who have to have the latest, biggest, baddest toy out there!

Has anyone heard the price off the 700 twin? Quads are getting expensive!

I'll have to wait and see how much this newer twin 700cc costs? How much does it weigh, ect?I really dont want to be sporting around more than 600-650lbs of quad anymore,so weight will be a factor in my decision.Im one of the guys that like having one of the baddest 4x4 quads made.I'll just have to wait and see.====Bill

The snorkel kit you see was made for my presious SP500. It is not installed on my new bike right now. I was told the tires will not void my warranty, but I am also looking for smaller tires. If I break a CV due to my tires, I will pay for the repair myself. I haven't had the big tires on my bike since that picture. I talked to some dealers that say if you do anything to a bike other than stock your warranty is void. I talked to others that will allow tires 1" taller and wider than stock. I was also told never to cut any plastic for snorkels.

Warranty depends on the dealer. My dealer will install upgrades and still warranty the 4 wheeler as if no mods where made.He has installed mods to quads before they left the show room.THATS A GOOD DEALER.
