Is there a drain hole on the water pump on a sportsman 500 2000

Yes there is a "weep"/drain hole for the waterpump - usually the first place signs of leaking antifreeze show to indicate pump seal failure.

yes there is a hole and my 04 500ho is in the shop right now being fixed for this leak problem.
